The Suitest Things We’re Obsessed With This September

P

roducts that take you places — that's our thing. Here in each issue, we show off some of our favorite finds that are aesthetic, helpful and often transportive. These are the products that we're obsessed with this month.

1. BAW POT NATURAL BAG BY A A K S
Handcrafted in Ghana, A A K S creates bags in styles that maintain the spirit and durability of their ancestral counterparts with bright exuberant colors. Combining superb craftsmanship, authenticity and ethical values in their production, A A K S’ designs make a statement in both fashion and the industry. This ‘noticeable yet wearable’ bucket bag might start as a statement piece in your wardrobe, but is sure to work its way into your revolving outfits.

2. FLOWER TOTE BY MONO NAVY
Your new companion for the farmer’s market, Mono Navy’s Flower Tote uses two simple snaps to transform and perfectly cradle even your biggest bouquets. We love the handles, too, which allow you to carry it by hand, over the shoulder or even crossbody so you can finally go hands-free. Made out of thick cotton canvas and durable polyester, the tote is built to last.

3. ROLEX DATEJUST 36
With a handsome green dial, a light-catching serrated dial and an elegant Jubilee bracelet, this Datejust makes you do a double-take. Considered one of Rolex’s most understated ‘entry’ watches, this reference is clearly anything but. The green dial is actually quite rare, even though it is the brand’s signature color. Do note: Rolex calls it ‘mint’ green, but we’ve seen it in person, and it has more cool, olive tones. Clocking in at 36mm, this watch is made for discerning men and women.

4. CAROLA FRA I TRULLI CANDLES
Inspired by the iconic shape of trulli’s and crafted in Puglia using their world-famous technique, Carola fra i Trulli’s candles transport you right to the boot of Italy’s heel. Matching earthy tones with vibrant colors in the classic Puglia ‘splatter’ pattern, we love how these candles feel traditional yet cosmopolitan. The brand’s dedication to sustainability is also notable — the mini ‘trulli’ can be reused to house new Carola fra i Trulli candles. The candles themselves are also made by an ancient, local Italian wax factory using vegetable soy wax and a cotton wick.

5. TOPTOTE HAT HOLDER. BY LINDSAY ALBANESE
Here at The Suitest, we’re hat people. But there’s nothing worse than a scrunched hat in your bag or carrying your hat through the airport — increasing your chances of leaving it somewhere. This hat holder by Lindsay Albanese loops securely around the handle of your suitcase or bag strap, then using two magnets, holds your hat on the go. A simple and elegant solution, the brand has nearly a dozen designs to choose from, too.

6. ELLIOT DINING CHAIR DE LA ESPADA
Where the creativity of some of the world’s leading designers meets the highest level of European craftsmanship, De La Espada handcrafts truly unique and meaningful objects. Made in Portugal with solid wood, pieces like the Elliot Dining Chair look and feel like they will last a lifetime. We love this take on this popular shape, pairing modern design with historical references to create a chair that feels fresh yet vintage. We’d put this in a bedroom corner, at the dressing table or in the entryway as a sophisticated catch-all.
